Cats mark their territory by spraying urine. Although not a house training issue, steps can be taken to eliminate this problem, but you need to know the reason behind it first. To find out the cause of cats spraying, you’ll have to take the time to observe your cat. You can sometimes solve the problem just by watching them and noticing anything that stresses them out.

When cats mark their territory with small amounts of urine, it is called spraying or urine marking. This is not a house-training problem but a marking of territory. Here are a few reasons that cause cats spraying:
> marking their territory
> letting other cats know that are sexually available
> stressful situations
> change of location
Although sometimes neutering works in these situations, it isn’t always effective. There is a small percentage of cats that won’t stop marking even after they have been neutered. If a male cat is neutered, the urine odor is removed and he will be less likely to mark.

Siamese cats are very energetic and need lots of attention. They can be quite demanding and love to be included in everything you do. Their strong character and affectionate nature are very endearing to most cat owners.
Although sociable and outgoing, these cats can sometimes be temperamental. When they want to stop playing, they sometimes swipe their paw, letting you know they have had enough. If they want attention, Siamese cats can get quite vocal using their loud voice which is similar to the cry of a baby.
Because they are highly active, it is best not to leave Siamese cats on their own for long periods of time. They have a warm, loving nature so they enjoy being around people and will often bond strongly with one person.

Although cats cannot see in complete darkness, they only need 1/6 of the amount of light that humans do.
They see 6 times better than humans at night due to the fact that they have an extra layer of cells that act like a mirror, reflecting light back through the retina, increasing the available light to the photoreceptors.
