House training your puppy can be a challenge. It can tax your patience and place a lot of stress on you and your puppy. Finding out the easiest and fastest way to do this may take a little research and experimentation but it is well worth the effort.
Crate training and paper training are two ways to house train your puppy. The most suitable one for you depends on your lifestyle and what outcome you are expecting. You need to determine which method will work best for you. Using both methods is not recommended because it will confuse your pet and the training process will take longer.

Welcoming a baby into the house is a wonderful event but, if you own a dog, you may be concerned about how he will react to the new addition. By making plans beforehand, you can help make it a success and ensure a safe and happy relationship. Introducing the dog to the new baby needs a little preparation but, by taking the utmost care, it will ensure a smooth process.
Preparing your dog
Getting ready in advance for your baby to come home helps avoid jealousy and friction. Your dog will, no doubt, feel jealous when he sees all your attention going to the new addition in the family. Since he has been used to getting all the pampering to himself, he naturally feels a little resentful. To keep these feelings to a minimum, give your dog a few minutes of quality time and some special treats.

American country music singer and song writer, Willie Nelson, is speaking out to support an Ohio bill that would remove the profiling of dogs. At this time, the law discriminates again dogs with certain physical characteristics, particularly that of the pit bull, or those with a similar appearance to this breed. As all animal lovers know, classifying a particular breed as vicious is unfair to the dog and their owners.

It is quite safe for you to share your turkey meat with your dog. The only thing to be concerned about are the bones. These can be potentially dangerous. Poultry bones can get lodged in your dog’s throat, injure his mouth, or splinter and puncture his intestines.
It’s best to be cautious when serving turkey to your family. Mention to everyone about the risk involved so that they aren’t tempted to feed your dog. Keep all turkey remains out of reach so that you and your pet can spend the holiday enjoying the celebration.

Dog owners need to be ware that chicken jerky products imported from China can cause symptoms similar to that of Fanconi syndrome, a kidney disorder. The FDA released this warning:
Chicken jerky products should not be substituted for a balanced diet and are intended to be fed occasionally in small quantities.
FDA is advising consumers who choose to feed their dogs chicken jerky products to watch their dogs closely for any or all of the following signs that may occur within hours to days of feeding the products: decreased appetite; decreased activity; vomiting; diarrhea, sometimes with blood; increased water consumption and/or increased urination. If the dog shows any of these signs, stop feeding the chicken jerky product. Owners should consult their veterinarian if signs are severe or persist for more than 24 hours. Blood tests may indicate kidney failure (increased urea nitrogen and creatinine). Urine tests may indicate Fanconi syndrome (increased glucose). Although most dogs appear to recover, some reports to the FDA have involved dogs that have died.

The Australian Shepherd is a loyal and devoted breed of dog. They are gentle and loving, but because they are very energetic, they need a lot of daily exercise. This working or herding dog is extremely intelligent, learns quickly, and needs plenty of space to run around so that they can use up their energy. They also make excellent watch dogs.
These dogs are usually quite calm and relaxed, but are full of life. Due to their energetic nature, they generally require lots of attention throughout the day and need a variety of activities to prevent boredom. By giving Australian Shepherds plenty of companionship and exercise for their physical and mental well-being, it will keep them from getting destructive and having serious behavior issues. Their ability to learn quickly gives great opportunity to teach them tricks, and they love having a job to do. Due to their affectionate and gentle nature, they are very good with children and love to play. Apartment living is not recommended due to space restrictions.
