If you are considering purchasing a ferret, you may want some information about these feisty little creatures. Many people keep ferrets as pets and love their active behavior. Others may find it annoying. If you are prepared to accept their rambunctious conduct, then these loving companions could be just what you’re looking for.
Ferrets have an average live span of seven years. They sleep anywhere from 18 to 20 hours a day, waking up several times for meals. Ferrets are extremely active and playful. Although having a cage for them is advisable, keeping them locked up is not recommended. They each have unique personalities and are very curious, so they need to be watched in case they get themselves into unsafe situations.
